The Kryptonite Keep Opponents Off Balance During Championship Run

Congratulations to the Severna Park Green Hornets seventh/eighth-grade girls soccer team (Kryptonite) on their amazing playoff run and championship. The team had to win three playoff games, two games that went into penalty kicks, including the championship game on October 30, in order to secure the league championship.

Coaches David Dove and Tom Weny are proud of the girls for showing the heart and determination to reach their goal.

“The majority of the team had never played soccer together, so that made this win even more special and showed what a great group of girls they truly are,” Dove said. “Go Kryptonite!”

The team (pictured left to right) is Emma Ritter, April Wevodau, Linnia Warner, Bree Foreman, Sol Cingolani, coach David Dove, Emmie Kanelos, Alaina Johnson, Caitlin Kuvinka, Charlotte Weny, Anna Wall, Avery Serpa, Addison Ensor, Ryleigh Kline, Julia Dove, coach Tom Weny and Mia Slote.
