SPHS Grad Earns Scholarship From Fight For Phoebe

Fight For Phoebe Inc. has chosen Lia Sim as the recipient of its 2020 Fight for Phoebe scholarship. Sim is an avid animal lover and has been an active participant in the local 4-H organization. She also was a member of the Severna Park High School Color Guard for the past four years. Sim will attend University of California-Davis to study animal biology.

About Fight For Phoebe
Fight For Phoebe was founded in memory of Phoebe Jeong-Hui Ward. Phoebe was 8 years old when she was diagnosed with HLH (hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis), a rare and life-threatening autoimmune disorder. Fight for Phoebe Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping local people and families with HLH and other orphan diseases through advocacy, education and research.
