On October 7, the Anne Arundel County Council will open the public hearing for Bill 68-19. Introduced on behalf of County Executive Steuart Pittman, the bill would modify forest conservation provisions, grandfathering certain applications and permits, and establish standards for granting modifications to forest conservation requirements. It would also revise the forest conservation thresholds applicable to reforestation, modify reforestation ratios for clearing above a threshold, and revise fees and security related to forest conservation.

To testify on the subject, sign up for the hearing at the Arundel Center, located at 44 Calvert Street in Annapolis. The council meeting starts at 7:00pm. See the full legislation at www.aacounty.org.
